Frequently Asked Questions
Why does branding matter?
Branding is a vital part of any business large or small. Steve Forbes is quoted as saying "Your brand is the single most important investment you can make in your business." To find out more read my blog post on “why brand matters” or download my report on “the top 10 most common brand fails”.
Will you manage my social accounts?
I can provide social media strategies, content plans and templates but I don’t manage accounts for others. I believe social accounts should ideally be managed by those who know the business best as its a relationship not a broadcast. If this is not possible for you, I know some fantastic freelancers who can provide this service.
How much does a brand cost?
Every project is different, and the deliverables always vary from client to client. The best thing is to have an initial call so I can find out more about your brand challenges and provide a range of options depending on your budget. I can also introduce other specialists, offer payment plans and daily rates.
Can you design templates?
Yes, I really believe that to create a successful brand you need consistency but appreciate that this can be difficult to manage day to day. I can provide suites of on brand templates in easy to use software like Canva making it effortless for businesses to create on brand materials themselves without needing a designer every time.
Do you build websites?
I can build simple, effective, on brand websites (like this one I built for myself) This is then really easy for you to maintain and update yourself. If your requirements are more complicated, for example e-commerce sites, I can put you in touch with some great designers and developers.
How long does it take to launch a brand?
The success of a new brand inevitably resides in the amount of planning and preparation you do up front and in creating a solid strategy. Once you’ve got your strategy set, the roll out is relatively straightforward. Depending on the business and their availability, I would probably advise allowing a minimum of 6 weeks for a new brand and 4 weeks for a rebrand.
Personal branding
When ‘you’ are your brand
I particularly like working with individuals who provide a product or service themselves and therefore create a personal brand. I find personal branding to be a bit of an art form as you need to bring your own personality and style whilst remaining authentic - not an easy task and one which can be daunting at first but if you get it right, the results can be life changing.
The process
Working Together
Discovery
I always start with a client questionnaire followed by a discovery call to get up to speed on your particular brand and marketing challenges.
Insight
Undertaking a full audit of all your brand activity and your strategy comes next. I usually do competitor analysis and customer research at this stage too.
The strategy
I like to work collaboratively as an extended part of your team to create a strategy together. This is the most important part of the whole process.
Creation
I then get to work creating plans, brand assets, templates, content and all of the agreed deliverables. Collabortating with you at every stage of course.
Review & refine
Once the initial work has been delivered we start the process of reviewing and refining it. All brand and marketing activity needs constant evolution.
Ongoing support
There will often, be things required, further to the initial project and so I’m available for ongoing help and support or providing updates templates
